Natural fun at Stratford Park

The Big Nature Festival in the Park is always a highlight, not only for our staff and volunteers, but for nature-friendly people and organisations across Stroud.

Nature Festival in the Park 2-7-23

This year, we were highlighting the connections between us humans and the natural world with a fun activity about interactions: an interactive interaction activity!

We had some fab stickers to give away, courtesy of Fast Labels UK – they feature a beautiful bee, of which we have seen far fewer this year than is usual. Biodiversity loss is one negative outcome of the interconnectivity of species.

You can help support our bee population by leaving grassy areas to grow, planting patches of flowers that bees and other pollinators love, and by buying one of our bee rescue kits from our eco shop. We also have books that can help you garden in a wildlife-friendly way, and loads of eco-conscious gardening kit.

There are more events going on as part of Stroud Festival of Nature, including our Otter talk, a Swift walk (that’s a walk to learn about Swifts – we’ll be moving at the usual pace!), and a Glow Worm walk.

Visit our events page for full details.
